FAQ

About KICKICO

KICKICO is an ecosystem, combining initiatives of entrepreneurs, investors and service-providers into a community that allows every participant to benefit. It is a community-based platform on blockchain, used to host fundraising campaigns, support, rate and discuss them, purchase their tokens via cryptocurrencies.

The platform is serving the interests of each and every user, giving authors an opportunity to communicate with their potential customers directly. Crucial feedback from the community will help them to find and fix their weak spots, meanwhile preparing their campaigns to be launched.

Investors, in their turn, are getting valuable information and various tools, drastically improving the token purchase decision making process, spiced up with pleasant bonuses.

Every member can affect the fate of each individual project and the industry as a whole by expressing his opinion and voting for campaigns they find worthy.

Our community’s development, expertise and its involvement into the ecosystem allows us to ensure it with the trust to choose campaigns, that will be launched on KICKICO.

The automated campaign scoring system and user rating are embodying the initial KICKICO vision: decentralization and community rule.

Its ERC20 Ethereum token, KickCoin, is a virtual currency, which is designed to be used by project authors for mutual settlements inside KIСKIСO: to pay for the launch of their fundraising projects, to purchase various attributes for fundraising projects, and for other internal processes and payments within the infrastructure of the KICKICO and KICKONOMY.

KickCoins are the way to receive additional 10% bonus tokens in the campaigns launched on the platform.

By creating a campaign on KICKICO authors can get instant access to our community and feedback from their potential customers - our community members. Listing your campaign in our Community Choice public rating allows you to probe the market and get your projects reviewed and rated by our users. After successfully paving your way to the top of the rating, author can apply for the pre-launch moderation, which calls in our team of experts, willing to take a deeper look at their project. At this stage campaign gets thoroughly analyzed along with the projects itself, the team, idea, and its implementation. You will get advices and feedback on how to make your campaign ready for its start and how to conduct and market it, how to manage your pr activities and community. After the launch itself we will promote your project via our media and broad user base.

KickCoin & Kickonomy

KickCoin and KICKONOMY support means accepting KICK tokens as a payment option or using them in a project as a utility token or a digital currency, or giving discount and providing additional benefits to KICK token holders.

KickCoin is an ERC20 Ethereum token, and can be stored on any ethereum address, able to hold ERC20 tokens.

You need to set gas limit to 200000 to transfer KICK tokens.

You do not need to add KICK to MEW manually, it is a default token.

KC tokens were using an earlier iteration of KICK token contract and are now useless, as they have no actual value.

KickCoin is an utility token, thus no price predictions can be made. It’s value is based purely on its use cases and distribution.

KICK is traded on several exchanges https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/kickico/
The current list is as follows:

  • KuCoin
  • BiBox
  • Gate.io
  • EXMO
  • Mercatox
  • HitBTC
  • Livecoin
  • YoBit
  • IDEX
  • RadarRelay

At first, with nothing but reputation and a beta of our product, we were increasing KICK liquidity, adoption and brand awareness by listing it on new exchanges, as every new exchange increases our potential customer base. We are adding more and more use cases for KickCoin on the platform to create a natural demand, while burning some fees collected, reducing the circulating supply. Some of projects, launched on the platform, are accepting KICK as a payment or loyalty method, providing external markets and additional liquidity for the asset. At the moment a KICK API is being developed, allowing partners to use KickCoin as a payment method. With every new business accepting KICK, its market potential, demand, awareness and adoption are improved dramatically.

It’s not just an asset, but the fuel for a whole new economy - KICKONOMY.

The joint economy of KICKICO and its partners, KICKCONOMY, is completely fueled by our own token - KICK. Most projects launched on the platform and our external partners, as well as numerous service providers, are supporting KickCoin in various ways, starting with bonuses, preferences and unique offers for approved token holders, and ending with accepting Kick as the only payment option.

This system provides the token with additional demand and liquidity, providing a seamless integration of numerous services with the KICKICO platform and its community.

KickCoin digital ERC20 Ethereum token is a virtual currency, which is used by project authors and backers for mutual settlements inside KIСKIСO.

Authors pay fees in KICK to send their campaigns to the rating, to purchase various services for their projects and fine-tune them with the help of service-providers, and for other internal processes and payments within the infrastructure of the KICKICO and KICKONOMY.
Backers use KICK to verify their addresses, buy campaigns tokens with additional bonuses, and for any other internal settlements.

This system provides the token with additional demand and liquidity, providing a seamless integration of numerous services with the KICKICO platform and its community.

KickCoin allows you to become a member of our community. It means:

  • that you become a part of KICKONOMY (buy goods/services on the platform)
  • that you can buy goods/services from our partners
  • you can trade it on exchanges
  • support campaigns on the platform
  • get feedback and reviews from the experts

Other than being held for later use on the platform, KICK can be used to get a monthly token emission, distributed to all the token holders in accordance with the token emission plan.

The KickCoins issue was pre-programmed and will be implemented in accordance with the KickCoin’s Release Plan to protect the price of KICK from speculative risks.

During the first two years after the ICO, from October 2017 and ending September 2019, on the last day of each month at 9:00 GMT a snapshot of all KICK holding addresses will be made, and will receive a limited emission, determined by the balance at the time of the snapshot.

Each month the percent varies: 0,5%, 1%, 2%, 3%, 5%, 6%.

The token emission calculator can be found here:

https://www.kickico.com/kickcoin

In order to receive bonus KICK, you need to have a KICK balance at the specified time on your address. Make sure that you have full access to the address where KICK is stored, including access to private keys.

All ethereum addresses, holding KICK tokens, are eligible. The origin of tokens is not important: crowdsale and bounty participants, exchange users are receiving tokens on the same conditions - at the end of every month till September 2019.

Yes, you can purchase additional tokens on the exchange to receive a bonus. To get the bonus, make sure that KICK tokens are currently on the address to which you have full access, including access to private keys. Thus, the KICK tokens purchased on the exchange should be withdrawn from the exchange to your address to receive the bonus.

If you haven’t received monthly tokens, make sure you’ve waited for a few days: the distribution is processed via standard ethereum transactions and may take a while, depending on the load of the network.

The fees, collected in campaigns’ tokens, are send to the KICKONOMY FUND. This separate entity, operated by KICKICO delegates, will manage the assets and buy back KICK from the market on a quarterly basis.

Then the company sends the filled-in contract back in the same Google Doc form. Once received and approved by KICKICO, the company will receive an email invitation to sign the contract via DocuSign.
The contract includes the following standard terms:

      2. The ETH pledges and the KICK pledges are collected via a multisig wallet (in case the campaign’s landing page tokensale is processed via personal accounts/orderbook). The total amount represents the total sum of collections provided by the company’s API and the multisig with ETH and KICK.
  10. On the date of the tokensale start KICKICO announces the tokensale campaign start to KICKICO users via email, Telegram group channels, Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Bitcointalk thread and article on Medium.

Every potential campaign author at KICKICO is required to pass our KYC verification in compliance with international legal standards. KYC (“know your customer”) and AML (“anti-money laundering”) are two key elements of modern legal compliance processes, which are necessary for modern ico-projects to comply with current ICO regulation and regulation of operations with cryptocurrencies. And we provide our Users with this instrument of legal compliance.

You can currently create ICO, preICO and closed round types.

No, we do not offer campaign page whitelabeling. Our platform is about transparency, building trust and community around projects launched on it. The most important information about a campaign here is its user ratings and opinions, which can be edited out on a branded whitelabeled page and confuse users. Users should always know that they are looking at a campaign page on KICKICO platform.

Every Friday 18:00 UTC the Top 1 campaign from the the rating will be set for launch
To get launched the campaign should comply with the following:

  • The campaign should have full description on KICKICO platform according to the campaign instructions
  • The campaign should have a defined Softcap and Hardcap with a ratio not less than 1/5
  • The campaign can only be launched exclusively on KICKICO platform
  • The campaign should comply with the general Terms and Requisites

The pre-launch moderation is a thorough and tedious process, where your campaign is not only checked for feasibility, token economy and legal positioning, but is also prepared for its launch on the platform. We take a look at your team expertise, do the KYC, check your company’s incorporation, legal compliance, bank accounts, PR and marketing strategies, community size and activity. Even if you are ready to launch and have everything covered, it may take at least a week to sign an agreement and prepare everything - API integration, PR and media content, support teams, for a smooth launch.

You will get an email if your campaign status is modified. There is currently no other way to track campaign status history.

We are working on a set of various widgets for our users, displaying campaign info and rating, user score, and many other sorts of information.

You can currently issue utility and digital currency token. Equity tokens support is in progress, but not available at the moment.

Token registration process usually depends on the platform you are using to issue it. Our KICK tokens were initially issued on Ethereum blockchain, but that does not limit our list of supported solutions to Ethereum ERC-20 tokens. You can launch a campaign on any blockchain that supports token distribution. We are currently working on a smart-contract constructor, which will greatly optimize the token creation and simple crowdsale smart contract deployment process.

Different campaigns have different goals, hype levels and expectations. Usually, they take a week or two, but the most anticipated ones can close their soft or even hardcaps in mere hours.

The goal of any fundraising campaigns is to raise funds. In case of ICOs, the ultimate goal is to distribute the maximum amount of tokens possible, not only attracting funds in exchange for them, but to form a community of token holders, able to support the project even after the campaign success.

KICKICO has over 50000 registered users and over 35000 members in the community. 18000 people are holding kick tokens on their wallets, and even more are keeping them on exchanges.

We have a pool of experts and contractors we can recommend, and the KICKICO platform itself can provide marketing support via american and european media outlets and advertising platforms.

There is no option for whitelist collection on the platform at the moment. However, you can place a link to your whitelist application form on your campaign page and take your chances in our Community Choice rating system. Advertise, attract users to the page, persuade them to get whitelisted!

We provide special benefits for campaigns that are running exclusively on KICKICO, and are working on special badges for them. Other than that, we do not specify it explicitly. The campaigns themselves may provide information about their main sale page and place links to it, but in exchange they are obliged to inform their users about their campaign on KICKICO and its special bonuses.

Most crowdsale contracts have refund mechanisms implemented. Usually, when the soft cap is not reached within a given timeframe, all fund collected are sent back to backers. They do not have to send tokens back, as they have no value in this case and can be kept as a souvenir. If funds were collected on an intermediary wallet, they will be distributed manually.

Back campaign

It is common for backers to expect profits for supporting various projects, but also for many the prior incentive is to help a great idea come true, to make the world better and.

Every potential campaign backer at KICKICO is required to pass our KYC verification in compliance with international legal standards.

There is no need to create a deposit on the platform, as you can safely transfer your funds directly from your personal wallet address to campaign smart-contract. ***Please make sure you are paying from the address you would like to receive tokens to, and that you have full control over the address, i.e. you own its private keys or can extract them from your wallet app. The Ethereum wallet from which you will make a payment and to which you will receive tokens must be friendly to this particular tokens. Do not pay from exchanges and from the wallets that do not support tokens. We recommend using the wallet on https://www.myetherwallet.com. ***

In order to support a campaign on the KICKICO platform, you need to register an account by clicking SIGN UP button, and log in. After that you should navigate to your profile’s billing information tab and specify your designated ETH address. Enter the address you will be paying from and are planning to receive campaign tokens to, and click the SAVE button. You do not need to verify your address at this time, as it will be verified automatically after a successful payment to any campaign on the platform.

Navigate to the page of the campaign you would like to support and click the BACK CAMPAIGN button. You can select a preferred payment option: ETH or KICK. The benefits for each of them are described on the page, right below the buttons. Basically, you will receive 5% additional tokens for any ETH contribution and a 10% bonus for payments via KICK. Exact numbers may vary per campaign.

After selecting one of the payment options, you will be taken to the payment agreement page, where you should confirm that you are familiar with the agreement and do not violate any of its statements by clicking on the checkboxes. Once again, you will be asked to confirm your ETH address (the one you specified in your profile billing tab). Click CONTINUE after that.

The smart-contract address will be displayed. Send the transaction from your preferred wallet, using recommended gas limit and price, shown below the crowdsale address. The usual ones are:
gas limit: 200 000
gas price: 25gwei

After the transaction is processed, you will see the TRANSACTION SUCCESSFUL message on the page. Congratulations, we’ve done it!

When supporting a campaign via the KICKICO platform you can select one of two payment options: ETH or KICK. The benefits for each of them are described on the payment page, right below the respective buttons. Basically, you will receive 5% additional tokens for any ETH contribution and a 10% bonus for payments via KICK. Exact numbers may vary per campaign.

Some projects can be running campaigns with additional payment options support, accenting other cryptocurrencies, such as BTC, LTC and so on, and ever fiat currencies and wire transfers. Those payments are processed off-site and are usually described on the campaign page. The crowdsale progress bar on KICKICO is displaying the overall amount of funds raised, regardless of the currency or payment method.

This problem usually occurs when the ETH address you provided does not match the address you’ve paid from, or the destination address is incorrect. Make sure you paid to the correct address, and the transaction has been successful.

You can check your transaction status by entering its id on etherscan.io

If the transaction is successful and is visible on etherscan.io, then there is no need to worry.

Usually, a simple support ticket can solve the issue. Please email [email protected] with the following info:

  • your email on the platform
  • campaign name
  • your transaction id

Usually, ETH addresses provided by campaigns are smart-contracts, programmed to distribute tokens automatically and to withdraw accumulated funds to contract owners’ addresses. This means that in most cases you will not be credited with respective campaign tokens and KICK tokens will not be refundable, and the payment will not appear in your KICKICO profile wallet. *** Please make sure you are sending funds to the correct address, provided for the payment option you have selected. ***

You can find the list of your successful payments in your profile’s wallet section.

Generally, tokens are distributed during the crowdsale of a few weeks after the ICO, depending on the token sale model and contract setup.

The tokens themselves can be found on the address you have paid from AND specified in you profile’s billing tab.

Because tokens are sent directly to your address, they can be transferred as usual, without any need to withdraw them. Keep in mind that some campaigns have lockout periods for their tokens, during which they cannot be transferred.

Rating

In order to get into KICKICO Community Choice user rating system an author must create a campaign on the platform and send it to the rating by paying a 2000 KICK fee, which is instantly burned. Exactly 2000 KICK must be sent to the burning address for the campaign to be sent to the rating.

To get your campaign into the rating you will have to pay a symbolic fee of 2000 KICK. The content of the campaign should not violate any international laws. The campaign should not have any of these:

  • Any item claiming to diagnose, cure, treat, or prevent an illness or condition (whether via a device, app, book, nutritional supplement, or other means)
  • Contests, coupons, gambling, and raffles
  • Ponzi schemes
  • Offensive material (e.g., hate speech, encouraging violence against others, etc)
  • Political fundraising
  • Pornographic material
  • Promotion of discrimination, bigotry, or intolerance towards marginalized groups
  • Weapons and replicas of weapons
  • Drugs, nicotine, tobacco and related paraphernalia

Every Friday at 18:00 UTC the top 1 campaign from the rating will be sent to the pre-launch moderation.

The only way to get listed on KICKICO is to create a campaign on the platform and send it to the Community Choice - a public user rating. There is also the editors’ choice, so if your project really stands out, it can be picked by our staff.

Payments

In order to get your campaign into the Community Choice user rating you have to pay a symbolic fee of 2000 KICK, which are instantly burned, taking them out of circulation and increasing the demand. This measure was implemented to avoid potentially fraudulent campaigns and spam. Please navigate to your campaign page and click the “send to rating” button. A modal window will appear. You will have to wait until your personal token burn address is deployed and is displayed under the fee amount. After that you will need to send the displayed amount to the address below. Voila! Your campaign is now in the Rating!

The Community Choice Rating is available for registered users only. In order to enable the voting right, one needs to either verify the account wallet (the procedure includes a charge of 100 KICK, the sum is burnt at the platform) or to pass KYC at KICKICO. The users do not have to pay the wallet verification fee to take part in the Community CHoice Rating once having passed KYC.

General questions

We have first mover in the industry. Clif high, reputed person in the business has vouched for us during our preICO.

We have hosted a whole list of successful campaigns and are now giving our community a great opportunity to vouch and pick the projects we launch.

We have organized the largest blockchain conference in Eastern Europe - CryptoSpace Moscow, and co-hosted the Blockchain Leadership Summit in Switzerland.

We won the “ICO of the year” award by BTC CIS.

We have over 50000 registered users and counting, over 35000 active members in our social networks.

Campaigns, launched on the platform, have attracted over 150000 ETH

Our token is traded on 10 cryptocurrency exchanges, and has already hit its $18 mln daily turnover milestone in March, 2018

A whole list of projects have successfully finished their campaigns on the platform, amongst them: INS, Micromoney, Universa, Arbitrage Crypto Trader, Sofin, Hacken, and of course our own fundraising campaign.

Basically, we do not provide any advertising services on the platform. Outstanding campaigns can be featured by our moderators on the front page, and all other campaign launches are usually promoted via our media and PR channels.

Our platform is currently in public beta, or an early access. This means all activities on the platform are mainly used for test purposes, though the workflow is already mapped from start to finish and is fully operational. Our goal at the moment is to attract enough users to help us test and polish the product. Massive advertising campaigns are scheduled to the launch of the release version.

We are working with one of the best UX, design and backend teams out there, and the release version is going to be completely different both visually and internally. We understand that current outlook and usability is not the best one you can see, but it has served its purpose - gather feedback on the concept and mechanics.

KICKICO is built around its community, thus providing both campaign authors and backers with an environment to communicate directly, learn and improve their expertise and projects. It is at least one level above fundraising and infrastructure solutions, giving its customer a wider view on the industry as a whole, and not limiting it to one specific fundraising mechanism or blockchain.

We believe that the ICOs as you can see them now, the ones selling “utility” tokens, will fade away, giving way to crowdinvesting campaigns, distributing equity tokens. There is a huge market of various startups and ideas, craving crucial financial support. Instead of strapping utility tokens to their real businesses with a duct tape, they will have an opportunity to tokenize their assets and attract supporters in a convenient and transparent manner. As we are working on a framework for such campaigns, there is no doubt everyone will benefit in near future: backers, entrepreneurs, community and the platform itself.

We are carefully watching various new markets and cryptocurrency regulations emerging around the world. As soon as our product is ready for its launch, our marketing campaigns will follow.

By registering you gain access to various options and opportunities on the platform. You can track your favourite campaigns, comment, share, rate and support them. You will never miss the best offer and discount with our newsletters!

For some reason, an email can take a very long time to be delivered, or not come at all. There are numerous reasons for this, not depending on us. You mailbox may be full, a server delay, et cetera. Please check your spam, all mail, promotion and other folders. If there is still no email after a few hours, be sure to notify us at [email protected]!

You need to specify an ETH wallet in order to receive any tokens you purchase via our platform. Funds sent from any other addresses will not be tracked by the system and tokens may not be received correctly.

ICO, or Initial Coin Offering is a mechanism for raising funds, under the terms of which digital tokens are sold for various liquid cryptocurrencies. Usually, three different types of tokens are distributed: virtual currency, utility and equity. Virtual currencies are usually coins with their own blockchain, used as a payment option with various features. Utility tokens are used in their respective projects only, providing bonuses or used to pay for services. Equity tokens, or securities, offer either dividends or other means of profit, a share in a company or a right to vote. Backers support campaigns now in order to get some benefit later.

Pre-ICO - a stage before the ICO (main stage), fundraising for the project. Pre-ICO is conducted to test and verify the demand for the project, get support from the community and expand the budget for marketing before the main ICO. Not all projects carry out a pre-ICO.

Crowdinvesting campaign is an Initial Coin Offering campaign, distributing equity tokens.
